CNN’s Gloria Borger Slams Trump on Health Care Comments: ‘This Isn’t Leadership’

President Trump said in comments to reporters today, regarding health care, “We’ll just let Obamacare fail. We’re not going to own. it. I’m not going to own it. I can tell you the Republicans are not going to own it.”

He added that the Democrats will then come to the table asking for help.

On The Situation Room earlier, Wolf Blitzer asked, “How unusual is it to hear that kind of tone from an American President?”

Gloria Borger said this in response:

“I think it’s very unusual. It’s a very cynical statement for a President to make. This isn’t leadership. This is a President saying ‘Let it fail.’ And you know what happens if it fails? Then people lose insurance, and that’s a problem if you’re President of the United States.”

She also said that maybe working with Democrats on health care wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
