CNN’s S.E. Cupp: Choosing Pence Won’t Make Trump Any ‘More Stable’

cuppCNN’s S.E. Cupp said today it’s not really clear how choosing a saner VP is going to make Donald Trump more amenable to the people who can’t stand him.

She said that Mike Pence is certainly a good choice and a very “thoughtful, careful” person, but said it only exposes Trump’s “weakness” that his team is hoping for a VP to win people over.

She asked, “Does anyone believe that Donald Trump is going to let the vice president move him in a different direction?”

“It’s kind of like,” Cupp observed, “asking ‘Would you marry a jerk just because his older brother was cool’? No, Mike Pence does not make Donald Trump a more stable candidate.”
