CNN’s Tapper: Trump Victory Speech Shows He’s Become ‘More Disciplined’
Right after Donald Trump delivered his short election night victory speech tonight, CNN’s Jake Tapper said the speech clearly shows “he has become a more disciplined candidate.”
He noted how Trump didn’t say anything “off-message” and even referred to Ted Cruz as “Senator Cruz,” not “Lyin’ Ted.”
Tapper concluded that clearly the pivot to the general election is underway.
Dana Bash also noted that Trump is starting to accept he has to work within the delegate system to win and there’s a “less reality TV show Donald Trump” running things now.
For the sake of perspective, Trump was trashing CNN for negative coverage minutes before he won the state.
