Colbert Announces Trump-Mocking Book to Help Raise Money for Hurricane Relief

Stephen Colbert has announced a new book to help raise money for hurricane relief.

The book itself concerns comments from President Donald Trump when he was in New Bern, North Carolina after it was ravaged by Hurricane Florence.

After Trump’s remarks, Colbert said last week, “His comments are so disturbingly inappropriate relative to this tragedy, the only way we could make them remotely palatable is to turn them into a children’s book.”

The title of the mock book was Whose Boat Is This Boat?: Comments That Don’t Help in the Aftermath of a Hurricane.

However, the book is now being made into a real book from Simon & Schuster with the proceeds going to hurricane relief.

In making the announcement, Colbert said, “This way Donald Trump’s comments about that boat are helping. In spite of him.”

The book will be released on November 6th. You can watch Colbert’s announcement above, via CBS.
