Colbert Mocks Fox News For Dropping ‘Fair & Balanced’ Slogan: ‘I Assume Because They Finally Watched Themselves’

On Thursday night, Stephen Colbert took some shots at Fox News for dropping their ‘Fair & Balanced’ slogan.

“This is big news,” Colbert began. “Fox News is dropping its ‘Fair & Balanced’ slogan — I assume because they finally watched themselves.”

The Late Show host noted that according to a “Fox insider,” it was dropped because “the phrase had been mocked.” Colbert then made a guilty face.

He mentioned that the network will be using their other slogan “Most Watched, Most Trusted,” but briefly considered other slogans like “CNN For Your Angry Uncle,” “Thanks For Watching, Mr. President!” and the most controversial one of all, “You’d Be Pretty If You Smiled More.”
