Colbert to Tucker Carlson: ‘Please Don’t Reproduce’

The Late Show‘s Stephen Colbert took a dig at Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Wednesday, asking him to please “don’t reproduce.”

Colbert’s comment came while talking about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“This young, progressive Democratic-Socialist has really energized her fan base: Anchors trying to scare people on Fox News,” Colbert said before playing a montage of Fox anchors calling her “O’Scary O’Cortez” and warning she wants to get rid of children, airplanes, cows and health insurance.

A video of Carlson then played in which the Fox host said this: “Is it okay to still have children? Well, I don’t know, Alexandria. Can we? You’re the boss now. If you say we can’t reproduce the species, of course, we won’t. It’s your call!”

After the clip ended, Colbert quipped, “I think I speak for everyone when I say, ‘Tucker, please don’t reproduce.'”

It is not the first time Colbert slammed the Fox News host, who by the way has kids.

After Media Matters released clips of Tucker Carlson saying misogynistic and racists things while calling into Bubba the Love Sponge’s radio show from 2006 and 2011, Colbert called him “awful on so many levels.”
