Colbert: Trump Sending Troops to the Border ‘For No Reason,’ Like Paul Revere Shouting ‘The No One Is Coming!’

Last night Stephen Colbert mocked President Donald Trump for sending troops to the border “for no reason” in response to the migrant caravan.

Colbert noted that while Trump “mysteriously” stopped tweeting about it after the midterms (though after the taping Trump did tweet again about it last night), thousands of troops have been deployed and will be staying there through Thanksgiving.

“So Trump is extending the family separation to the troops,” he added, calling this whole thing a “political stunt.”

“The vast majority of the migrants are more than 1000 miles away still, the troops are down there for no reason,” Colbert concluded, comparing Trump to a Paul Revere shouting “The no one is coming! The no one is coming!”
