Acting on a tip from suspected shooter James Holmes himself, authorities are currently investigating his third floor apartment, confirming that the residence has been booby trapped. As a safety precaution, Holmes’ apartment building and several nearby homes have been evacuated during the investigation.
“Buckets and buckets of ammunition” have been found within the premises, which police indicate may take hours or days to clear.
According to a CBS News report, Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates has shared that “pictures from inside the apartment are fairly disturbing and the devices look to be sophisticated.”
