Conservative CNN Contributor: ‘I’m Proud to Say’ I Declined Invites to Jeanine Pirro’s Show In Past
Last night, President Donald Trump called into Fox News’ Jeannine Pirro’s show. During the interview, Pirro was over-the-top with her praise of Trump and at one point touted an obviously skewed CPAC poll to tell the president how popular he was with the American public.
At the top of today’s Reliable Sources, host Brian Stelter touched on Pirro’s segment as well as the president misquoting Fox News in one tweet to hammer Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Following his monologue, Stelter turned to conservative CNN political commentator Doug Heye and asked him if there was any “value in trying to point out the daily deflections and spin?”
After stating that there’s “so much noise” that it makes it “hard to point out where things are right and wrong,” Heye took aim at Pirro.
“I’ve been invited on the Pirro show several times before I was on CNN and I’m proud to say that I said no every time, and not just because it was on a Saturday night,” Heye told Stelter.
He continued, “This show and other shows on Fox and other shows on other networks I think take their rhetoric to the extreme. I think there’s no better example of that than Jeanine Pirro’s show which is why I’m proud I always said no to their show.”
