Cory Booker: DHS Sec. Nielsen Tried to ‘Cover Up for the Vile and Bigoted Words of the President’

Senator Cory Booker followed up on his explosive grilling of DHS Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen today by talking with Chris Hayes about how her “artful dodges” were “insulting.”

Earlier today, Booker angrily told Nielsen, “Your silence and your amnesia is complicity” (in reference to her not recalling President Trump‘s “shithole” remarks).

He told Hayes tonight she was trying to “cover up for the vile and bigoted words of the President.”

Booker reiterated what he said earlier about the danger of the President’s “bigoted words” and talked about his concerns regarding the Trump White House’s immigration policy and a potential “discriminatory impact.”
