Dave Briggs, Former Fox & Friends Weekend Host, Debuts On MSNBC

Dave Briggs, the former host of Fox & Friends Weekend, resurfaced on Wednesday on MSNBC with anchor Thomas Roberts. Briggs, who left Fox to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, appeared on MSNBC to discuss the firing of Rutgers University basketball coach Mike Rice after a tape surfaced of Rice abusing and berating his players.

Briggs, now an anchor for NBC Sports and cohost of The Crossover, told Roberts that Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti is unlikely to survive the mounting scandal surrounding Rice’s actions.

Briggs announced he was leaving Fox & Friends Weekend in December of last year, calling it the “best job of my life.” He informed Fox’s audience on December 31 that he would be pursuing a career in sports broadcasting.
