David Gregory on Refusal to Accept Election Results: ‘This Is a Death Blow for Donald Trump’
CNN commentator and former Meet the Press host David Gregory gave Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump low marks for his performance in Wednesday’s third and final debate, saying his refusal to say he’d accept the results of the election would be disastrous.
“I think this is a death blow for Donald Trump,” Gregory said the following morning on New Day. “I think he had a strong first hour sounding like a more conventional Republican, I think which was good news for supporters, good news if you were looking for him to expand his support.”

“…And then this. It undermines our democracy, it’s way outside the tradition of our democracy and presidential races, it comes in a context of him, again, flirting with Putin, praising him, suggesting that he and other world leaders would sit around and talk about how stupid America’s leadership is,” Gregory listed off.
He continued, saying Trump’s biggest problem is that voters say “he is not qualified, doesn’t has the temperament or judgment to be president. This only goes to the point, that huge vulnerability he has. I think that sets him further back.”
