Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) spoke today after the multiple bomb scares this week with her office’s return address listed on the packages.
One of the packages, addressed to former Attorney General Eric Holder, was sent back to the congresswoman’s office this week.
Wasserman Schultz thanked law enforcement in remarks this morning about the threats and said, “Never are we going to allow violence, vitriol, and venom to knock us down.”
She said she was “heartbroken” to see her staff have to deal with this horror.
Minutes before the DOJ confirmed a suspect had been taken into custody, Wasserman Schultz said, “Whoever did this, whether it’s one person or a group of people, you will be found, you will be prosecuted, and you will not knock us down.”
