Democratic Rep.: I Still Trust Comey’s Judgment More Than Whoever Trump Would Appoint

Despite the criticisms many Democrats have of FBI Director James Comey, at least one House Democrat would rather trust him than someone appointed by President-elect Donald Trump>

On MSNBC this afternoon, Congressman Joaquin Castro acknowledged that there is low confidence in Comey within his party, but said he disagrees with calls for him to resign:

“I still trust his judgment and his independence from the incoming president and the incoming administration more than I would trust anybody who Donald Trump appoints to take that job right now.”
