Did Marvel Let Paul Rudd Fake Conan Out with a Mac & Me Clip Again?
The news has been pretty horrible today, so here’s something lighter to keep your spirits up. Paul Rudd has rocketed up into the cinematic stratosphere with his starring role in Marvel’s Ant-Man, opening in theaters tomorrow.
Rudd has been doing the standard Hollywood media blitz for a while now, but fans have been eagerly anticipating Rudd’s sit-down with Conan O’Brien.
Why? Because of a certain clip from a certain really bad 80s movie.
Every single time Rudd has ever appeared with O’Brien in late night, he has shown the same clip from Mac & Me (in which a boy in a wheelchair loses control and rolls off a cliff as a weird alien watches) instead of the film he’s there to promote.
But the big question this time around is whether the massive behemoth that is Marvel would allow Rudd to get away with appearing on TV without showing actual footage from their film.
And… well, you’ll just have to watch this preview of tonight’s Conan to find out what happened, via TBS:
