After coming to Trevor Noah‘s defense tonight, Jon Stewart jumped into the big national debate about Indiana and religious discrimination. He mocked the conservative outrage about religious freedom under attack and picked up on one little detail in particular.
Some on the right have said that forcing businesses to serve gay people is like forcing Jews to serve Nazis or forcing black people to serve KKK members or forcing pro-gay printers to make “God Hates Fags” signs.
Stewart asked, “Do you see how fucked up that is?!” He found it striking that these conservatives would “see people celebrating love as a hate group.”
In the next segment, Stewart took on the controversy surrounding Memories Pizza, mostly by having correspondent Jordan Klepper try to set up his own discriminatory Italian joint for that sweet backlash-to-the-backlash donation money.
