Chuck Todd faced off with Trump ally Roger Stone on MTP Daily today and spoke with him at length about the allegations of collusion between Russia and people in President Trump‘s orbit during the election.
Stone repeatedly said he has not seen evidence of collusion and told him that accusations of treason cross a line for him.
Todd confronted him about his past communications with Guccifer 2.0 and that time he tweeted about John Podesta before the Wikileaks dump happened. He asked, “Do you understand why you’re a suspect?”
Stone, who did not concede that Guccifer was a “Russian asset,” responded, “I understand why I’ve been blamed.”
They went back on forth on the “circumstantial” evidence raising all these questions, and when Todd asked him again if he’s concerned about potential Russian interference in the election, Stone said, “I still haven’t seen any evidence.”
Todd touched on a number of other issues with Stone, including Steve Bannon‘s role in the White House and that conspiracy theory about Ted Cruz‘s dad’s involvement in the JFK assassination.
