Despite multiple allegations of child molestation, President Donald Trump has endorsed Roy Moore for Senate, and the White House stood by that decision today.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders said today that they’re leaving it to the people of Alabama to decide, while noting the President finds the allegations “concerning.”

On CNN tonight, Don Lemon said at the very least, the President of the United States should not be supporting someone with those kind of horrific allegations against them. And as for the line about leaving it to the people of Alabama, Lemon said this:

“That is nothing but a cowardly dodge, because the White House is stacking the deck here. The President has given his full, unequivocal endorsement to Roy Moore. No doubt about that. And he has been crystal-clear about his reason for doing it… The President of the United States would rather have an accused child molester in the Senate than a Democrat.”
