Vulture is out with a comprehensive list of 49 celebrities and their varied reactions to the end of The Colbert Report this week. There are plenty of charming anecdotes along the way, from Neil deGrasse Tyson bragging about being his most frequent guest to Chris Matthews reminiscing about all those Mr. Potato Head jokes.
But clearly, they saved the best for last with this unexpectedly glowing review from none other than Donald Trump:
“I think he’s going to do well. He’s a smart guy, very talented, very funny. He’s going to be playing a very different character. David Letterman is a friend of mine, I’ve been on David Letterman so many times. He’s great — David Letterman — and I think Stephen is going to do really well. We’re going to have to see the character, nobody knows the character yet, but he’s very smart and I think he’s going to pull it off very well.”
Is it possible that Trump forgot about that time Colbert offered to donate $1 million to charity if the real estate mogul let him dip his balls in his mouth?
