Jon Stewart Agrees To Debate Bill O’Reilly Over ‘Common Controversy’ On Monday

Get some sleep Sunday night and invite friends over, Monday night’s going to be a good TV night (and I’m not talking about Dancing with the Stars). Jon Stewart says he’ll accept Bill O’Reilly’s offer to come on the O’Reilly Factor Monday night to debate the much-debated invitation of rapper Common to a poetry event at the White House.

O’Reilly made the offer on his show Thursday night after Stewart’s rapping “Tone Def Poetry Jam” take on Fox News’ coverage of the event.

So now it’s on. And I can’t wait. In fact, this whole thing reminds me of that song by Common, Drivin’ Me Wild:

It’s this thing now, that’s drivin’ me wild
I gotta see what’s up before it gets me down
It’s this thing now, that’s drivin’ me wild
I gotta see what’s up before it gets me down
It’s this thing now, that’s drivin’ me wild
I gotta see what’s up before it gets me down
No it’s not a mystery, it’s everything

It’s not a first visit for Stewart into the No Spin Zone, but it should be a memorable one. The big event airs on Fox News Channel Monday at 8 p.m.
