New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been taking some heat this week after he was caught on camera rooting for the Dallas Cowboys with owner Jerry Jones at a game against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday. But when MSNBC’s Ed Schultz tried to call out Christie on his show Tuesday afternoon, he made the vital mistake of using a year-old photo of Christie and Jones in Dallas, not Philadelphia.
As Schultz pointed out, his show’s researchers “noticed what looks like RNC chair Reince Priebus sitting behind Christie and Jones.” He said, “We reached out to the RNC and they told us they thought he was at a dinner in Washington, D.C. on Sunday night.”
Well, that would make sense, because the photo Schultz used was actually from September 2013, as you can see from this Democratic Underground link:
RNC spokesman Sean Spicer noticed the error and gleefully tweeted out this message to “moron” Ed Schultz:

That message was promptly retweeted by Priebus, but so far, the official Ed Show Twitter account is silent on the matter.
