Eliot Spitzer Reportedly Pulled In $2 Million For His Failed CNN Talk Show

According to a report in the New York Post, current NY state comptroller candidate Eliot Spitzer made a salary of $200,000 per month while hosting his short-lived CNN talk show for 13 months.

Spitzer’s tax filings reveal that the disgraced former governor earned more than $2 million from the show that went through two iterations: First as Parker/Spitzer with columnist Kathleen Parker, and then as In the Arena.

One of those two millions reportedly came after the show’s cancellation in August 2011.

“I have no comment at all,” Spitzer told the Post. “That’s what they paid me.”

According to the report, Spitzer’s total tax filings “put his family income in 2011 at $3.7 million — most of it from work related to his and his father’s lucrative real-estate dealings.”
