Elizabeth Warren: It’s Right to Get Our Troops Out of Syria, But Foreign Policy Shouldn’t Be ‘Conducted by Tweet’

During her interview on MSNBC tonight, Senator Elizabeth Warren spoke with Rachel Maddow about President Donald Trump‘s decision to withdraw troops from Syria.

Warren, the first big Democrat to leap into the 2020 waters, told Rachel Maddow, “I think it iss right to get our troops out of Syria… [and] out of Afghanistan. I think that anyone who keeps saying, ‘No no no, we cant do that’ in the defense establishment needs to explain what they think winning in those wars look like and where the metrics are.”

Warren added that withdrawing needs to be “part of a plan” and that things need to actually be coordinated.

Maddow asked if she’s “troubled by the nature of the president’s process,” Warren responded, “Are you asking me whether or not I think foreign policy ought to be conducted by tweet? The answer is no, it should not.”
