Epix Advertises Its New Political Comedy with a Mock Cable News Debate
One of CNN’s pre-debate commercial breaks featured an over-two-minute-long commercial for the new Epix political comedy Graves. It was a mock cable news debate, because God knows we’re not getting enough of the real thing tonight.
Nick Nolte plays former President of the United States Richard Graves apologizing for, well, his presidency.
The mock cable news debate features actual people you might expect on cable news debates: Amy Holmes, Barney Frank, Michael Steele, and historian Mark Updegrove.
The show, according to Epix, is about “a former two-term POTUS as he embarks on a Don Quixote-like quest to right the wrongs of his administration and reclaim his legacy 25 years after leaving the White House.”
