Eugene Scalia, lawyer and eldest son of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, opened up about his father on Fox News in his first interview since his passing.
He talked about how smart and funny his father was, reminiscing about Scalia the family man. The proud son said, “Part of his legacy is us.”
Kelly asked Scalia what his father would have thought of some of the nastier liberal reactions to his death. Scalia said his dad “got used to that” and decided to instead talk about how grateful he and his family are for all the heartfelt things they’ve heard in the past few days.
Kelly ended the interview by sharing a funny story about the first time Scalia ever approached her. She wondered at the time if he had recognized her from TV, but what he said to Kelly wasn’t exactly what she expected.
