Even Fox and Friends Can’t Help But Mock Spicer Over His Inauguration Crowd Boast: ‘Period!’

More than a year later and Sean Spicer still can’t live down his infamous inauguration crowd moment.

At the end of an interview on Fox and Friends this morning — following a Fox Business interview that featured him getting a bit miffed over the Wall Street Journal not thinking he was relevant — the former White House press secretary was asked to toss it to Fox News host Jillian Mele.

And after he handed off to Mele, the F&F crew gently mocked him over that January 2017 boast in which he declared Donald Trump’s inauguration crowd “was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period!”

“Best toss ever — A-plus!” Mele exclaimed.

Meanwhile, the hosts on the curvy couch laughed while Spicer joined in the fun, repeating his notorious “Period!”

This is far from the first time the ex-press secretary has mocked perhaps the most well-known moment from his tenure in the White House. During last year’s Emmys, Spicer was brought on stage to preemptively state that the audience for the awards show would be the largest ever.
