Former congressman David Jolly (R-FL) criticized Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for his outspoken support for the newly-confirmed Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Jolly began by saying Graham “got his facts wrong” during his appearance on Fox News on Monday evening when he urged viewers to live in the “Susan Collins world” where you’ll be “heard, listened to, and evaluated.”
“Susan Collins said she did not believe Dr. Ford, Jolly told Brian Williams. “Susan Collins said that while Dr. Ford may have been the victim of a sexual assault, she did not believe Dr. Ford was telling the truth about her accuser.”
The ex-representative then went after Graham.
“Lindsey Graham used to be their reverent conscience, if you will, of the Republican Party in the Trump years and he’s turned into a senator that in many opinions, including mine, he’s lost his mind.”
Jolly went on to say that the spike in enthusiasm among GOP voters simply means that if “love” the GOP then you love it even more, stressing that such poll numbers don’t mean that more people love the Republican Party. He also predicted that the Democrats will take over the House while Republicans hold onto the Senate.
