Ex-Navy SEAL Claims Over 90% of Troops Do Not Support President Obama
According to former Navy SEAL Carl Higbie, more than 90% of American troops do not support President Barack Obama.
Higbie’s estimation came during a Wednesday evening segment of Fox’s On the Record, in which host Greta Van Susteren asked him how active troops likely view the president’s foreign policy speech at CENTCOM earlier that day.
“[It was a] complete photo-op,” Higbie said of the speech. “This is indicative of a global failure of his foreign policy. He has toted that he is behind the troops before, and he stands in front of these guys, gets a photo-op… while saying I’m going to send 3,000 of you guys to combat Ebola but I’m not going to send any to combat an actual enemy that’s really threatening America.”
He added: “Most of the troops, probably over 90-percent, do not support the president.”
Higbie lost his honorable discharge after he published, in 2012, a book entitled Battle on the Homefront: A Navy SEAL’s Mission to Save the American Dream. He also attempted a run for Congress as a Republican in the 4th district of Connecticut, but did not receive enough delegates to appear on the ballot.
