comScore Ex-Obama Adviser Dan Pfeiffer Blasts Fox & Friends as 'Propaganda' For Border Separation Coverage

Ex-Obama Official Decries Fox & Friends as ‘Propaganda’ For Touting DHS Sec’s Denials of Border Policy

Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen‘s denied that the Trump administration has a policy of separating child migrants from their families at the southern border, and Fox & Friends reported that she had “set the record straight.”

Nielsen said on Sunday that the administration does not have a policy of separating families. She did not explain, however, that it does have a new “zero tolerance” policy, implemented by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, that requires illegal border crossers to be charged (and have their children detained as a result.)

Fox & Friends read off Nielsen’s tweets defending the policy, and Steve Doocy explained the predicament of border crossers by with a comparison to a bank robber being arrested, and HHS detaining his children.

“And that is exactly how they treat the kids in this case,” Doocy said. “Just trying to separate fact from friction.”

Dan Pfeiffer, former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, blasted the Fox & Friends hosts for their coverage of Nielsen’s remarks on Twitter Monday morning, calling the show “shameless” and “propaganda.”
