Father Who Left Toddler in Hot Car to Die Indicted for Murder
Justin Ross Harris, the Georgia man who left his 22-month-old son in a hot car to die this past June, was indicted on malice murder charges as well as seven additional felonies, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Ross will face trial for allegedly killing his son Cooper on purpose.
At an initial hearing in July, it was revealed that in the days leading up to his son’s death Harris had searched “how to survive in prison,” visiting a Reddit forum dedicated to the “child-free” living and watched a video showing exactly how hot it can get in a parked car, among other incriminating facts.
Harris was denied bond and has remained in jail since he was first arrested following the incident.
CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield reported the news of Harris’ indictment Thursday afternoon.
