Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway: Anonymous Trump Official’s Op-Ed is ‘Huge Strategic Blunder’ For Media

Batten down the hatches, the Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway is out with a piping hot take: the New York Times op-ed, written anonymously by a the senior Trump administration official to warn that the president is detrimental to the republic, is a “huge strategic blunder” for… the media.

After calling the op-ed a “threat to our constitutional republic,” Hemingway argued that if “the media” had a grand plan by publishing this opinion piece, it backfired. Ha!

“It was just a huge strategic blunder of people in the media and people in the Resistance to think that this would go over well,” she said on Fox News Thursday. “You do not have to like Donald Trump to like our constitutional system of governance. And I think it is absolutely time for people to stop enabling and supporting this resistance and thinking about who they are resisting against.”

“Or stand up and say there’s a problem and we’ve got to act, or something,” Fox News anchor Bret Baier noted.
