First Week of Guests for Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show Announced

daily showComedy Central has announced the first round of guests for new host Trevor Noah‘s first week on The Daily Show.

The new Jon Stewart-less Daily Show, which premieres Monday, Sept. 28, will break the ice with actor and comedian Kevin Hart, who’s promoting his “What Now?” stand-up comedy tour.

After that first night, the show runs with guests whose professions run the gamut of the late night talk show circuit: Bumble founder and CEO Whitney Wolfe on Tuesday, New Jersey Governor and GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie on Wednesday, and musician Ryan Adams on Thursday.

Noah’s first week on the air sounds an awful lot like a typical Daily Show lineup in theory. Then again, it would unfair to compare the new host to his predecessor since he hasn’t even started yet.

Still, it’s telling that the attempted variety mirrors Stephen Colbert‘s first week on the Late Show, though to a much smaller degree. After all, both lists include actors, CEOs, politicians and musicians.

Christie’s inclusion begs the question: How will Noah top “The Evolution of Dad Dancing”?
