Former Barack Obama aide Stephanie Cutter has signed on with MSNBC and NBC News, the outlets announced Friday.
“Stephanie Cutter has joined NBC News and MSNBC as a Political Analyst. She will contribute exclusively on a range of topics across all platforms including Meet the Press, TODAY, Nightly and MSNBC,” Politico Playbook first reported.
After serving in the Obama administration and in his re-election campaign, Cutter was hired by CNN to host their reincarnation of Crossfire. When that show was cancelled, Cutter remained a CNN analyst, making infrequent appearances on The Lead With Jake Tapper.
At the same time, The New York Times reported Thursday that Cutter has been tapped to lead a group of Obama veterans pushing for the nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, called the Constitutional Responsibility Project.
