Fournier had been looking into Clinton’s (or someone else’s) decision to wipe her private email server clean. “What have you been able to figure out?” host Joe Scarborough asked.
“Well, nothing really, because they haven’t been telling us the truth,” Fournier responded. “They’ve been holding back the truth and deceiving us.”
Fournier said we may never know what was in Clinton’s deleted emails. “What we do know is it was bad government and against regulations, at least nine months into her term, to have a covert server that took all of our email out of the public domain. We do know that was an abrogation of the Freedom of Information Act, it went around congressional right and responsibility for oversight.”
“[These are] all self-inflicted wounds, this is all stuff she put up, caused her own problems,” he said. “And I’m having a hard time feeling sorry for the poor Hillary Clinton campaign.”
