Fox and CNN Cut Away from Ferguson Presser as MSNBC’s Sharpton Takes Podium

Before Michael Brown’s parents spoke in response to last night’s grand jury decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of their son during a press conference Tuesday, there were remarks from attorneys Benjamin Crump and Anthony Gray. But while all three cable news networks carried those remarks, both Fox News and CNN cut away when Reverend Al Sharpton took the podium. Only MSNBC, which happens to employ Sharpton as an afternoon host, carried his speech in full.

Fox and CNN each aired their own analysis of the situation in Ferguson until Sharpton had finished speaking.
