Fox Covers Immigration ‘Protest’ of About 10 People, Including Some Kids

“And now to the protests in Murrieta, California,” Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren reported Tuesday evening. “The town has become the front lines for the immigration fight.”

When the host threw to Fox’s Will Carr, he was forced to tell her, “Well, not as many protesters and supporters that we have had out here in recent days.” Behind him, the camera showed what looked to be around 10 people standing on the side of the road, including a couple of children.

“They tell me that within a matter of minutes, if buses roll up, they could have several hundred people out here,” he added.

For the rest of Carr’s report, Fox News used b-roll footage of larger anti-immigration rallies to demonstrate the outrage over the dramatic influx of Mexican and Central-American immigrants coming over the border in recent days and weeks.

While there wasn’t much action today, Carr said the few people who were on the scene told him they expected protesters to “come out in force” this Thursday.
