Fox Guest Critiques Co-Hosts On-Air: Use of Force ‘Isn’t a Talk Show’
The Outnumbered panel has been calling on President Barack Obama for weeks to step up military action against ISIS, a trend that continued Wednesday afternoon, when guest host (and Fox Business anchor) Liz Claman told the panel that geopolitics wasn’t a talk show, and that the actual process of building an international coalition to fight the Sunni militants was a more deliberative and less performative process than some might like.
“You listen to John McCain, kill them, who wouldn’t want to do that — you know what, guys?” Claman said. “Talk to the Israelis. For decades, they have looking for a way to eliminate this exact type of disgusting and barbaric terrorism. You can’t kill it, unfortunately. You can tamp it down.”
“But you have to be careful,” she continued. “When you’re talking about international politics and use of force, it is not a video game. It’s not a talk show. It is, of course, an international coalition that has to be built. You do that in private. Even George Bush would tell you that.”
