Outnumbered host Harris Faulkner wondered where the outrage was from Republicans during today’s opening of the Benghazi Select Committee.
Nope, not a typo. She said Republicans.
“This isn’t the seventh hearing,” Faulkner said. “This is the first Select Committee hearing on Benghazi. So they have been beating drums about this and polls have shown that Americans want answers about this!”
Committee chair Gowdy, a former prosecutor, has adopted a relatively muted tone on a subject that more than any other lights Republicans’ fire. Gowdy has emphasized a deliberate fact-finding mission that coincidentally or not is expected to last into the early stages of the 2016 presidential race.
“It’s gonna be kind of like a slow roll,” Faulkner acknowledged. “When is the roll part of the slow coming? I was so shocked there was so little passion on this.”
