Fox Business host Stuart Varney suggested President Joe Biden will use a teleprompter to answer live questions during his first press conference.
Fox News contributor Joe Concha first faulted Biden for rarely speaking without a teleprompter, claiming that there are low expectations going into the press conference next week.
“This will not go well if reporters do their jobs and ask solid, tough questions with follow-ups,” he added before acting out an exchange he would like to see regarding the migrant surge.
“Minors are arriving at a quadruple rate than they were in October before you won an election and sent a message basically to everybody in Central America, ‘Come on in,'” Concha added, providing an example of a follow-up question he would praise.
Concha additionally questioned how letting coronavirus infected immigrants into the United States without forcing them to quarantine is not considered a super spreader event, adding that he would “love to hear how he’s going to answer those questions.”
“I do believe there will be a teleprompter there, which he can just turn on when you need the set response. That would not surprise me at all,” Varney said in response, implying that a teleprompter could instantly answer questions live for the president.
Varney went on to predict that a Biden staffer would be at the press conference to instruct reporters to ask certain questions.
“They gotta protect the man,” he concluded.
