Fox Hosts Blast Admin’s ‘Double Standard’ In Not Pursuing Leaks That Make Obama ‘Look Tough’

On Wednesday, the Fox & Friends crew took on the Justice Department’s snooping on Fox News’ James Rosen. Earlier, it emerged that the DOJ had tracked Rosen and looked into his personal emails. Fox News hosts later also said they looked into the network’s computer servers and Rosen’s parents’ phone records. Fox and Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade was particularly appalled — and spotted a double standard.

“This administration knows that there was a major leak last June,” Kilmeade said, pointing to David Sanger‘s book about a “cyber-attack on Iranian computers.” There’s the information about Obama’s kill list. Sanger “gets away with both those things.”

“There is a double standard,” Kilmeade asserted, as Steve Doocy chimed in to note that those leaks make Obama look “tough” and good.

Going back farther, Kilmeade also cited reporting on the CIA’s secret prisons in Eastern Europe, which “blows up our secret prisons.” And she gets a Pulitzer.

“James Rosen gets his parents’ lines tapped,” he charged, “and she gets a medal.”
