comScore Julie Banderas: 'I Love' Trump Calling His Opponents Names

Fox News Anchor on Trump Labeling Andrew Gillum a Thief: ‘I Love His Names’ For Opponents

Fox News’ Julie Banderas took a moment on Wednesday to talk about how apparently she “loves” when President Trump smears his political enemies with insulting nicknames.

Banderas held an interview with Congresswoman Mimi Walters (R-CA) where they talked about how Trump is getting back on the campaign trail to drum up support for Republicans ahead of the midterm elections. Eventually, Banderas remarked on how Trump has endorsed Ron DeSantis for governor of Florida while calling Tallahassee Democrat mayor Andrew Gillum a “stone-cold thief.”

Trump wrote in a tweet: “In Florida there is a choice between a Harvard/Yale educated man named @RonDeSantisFL who has been a great Congressman and will be a great Governor – and a Dem who is a thief and who is Mayor of poorly run Tallahassee, said to be one of the most corrupt cities in the Country!”

“When the president doesn’t like someone though, and that’s where his strongest suit is, he lets us know,” Banderas remarked. “I love his names he calls to any candidate who he disagrees with.”

Banderas said that Trump is referring to questions over Gillum accepting tickets from an undercover FBI agent to see musical Hamilton on a trip to New York City in 2016. While there is an ongoing federal investigation into Tallahassee city government, there’s no evidence that Gillum is under investigation personally.
