Fox News Beats Network News Coverage of RNC Night 2 in the Ratings

Fox-News-logo-screenshotFox News may be dealing with some behind-the-scenes drama this week, but it hasn’t dented the network’s coverage of the Republican National Convention one bit.

In primetime, Fox News delivered a whopping average 4.84 million viewers and slightly over 1 million in the 25-54 demo. CNN got 2.79 million total and 816K in the demo, while MSNBC got 1.54 million total and 435K in the demo.

But looking at the 10 pm hour in particular shows us exactly how well Fox did against the network news powerhouses.

In that hour timeslot––anchored by Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly––Fox got 5.26 million viewers and 1.16 in the demo. ABC got 2.33 million total, CBS got 2.54 million, and NBC got 4.68 million.

Fox even overtook ABC and CBS in the demo, but NBC did get 1.56 million in the demo, more than Fox in that hour.
