Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) is no longer a Fox News contributor.
Politico reported Wednesday morning that Fox and the famed politician-turned-pundit “amicably parted ways” on June 1, with her contributor deal not being renewed. She will continue making appearances on the network, of course, but is now free to take bookings with other channels.
“When Palin was at her zenith, she made frequent appearances, and Fox installed a camera at her house, Politico wrote. “But executives consider her less relevant now, and her appearances were sometimes hampered by the vast time difference with Alaska.”
Palin began her first contributor deal after her gubernatorial resignation in 2009, but was let go in January 2013 after her appearances dwindled and she publicly complained about how the network “cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight” in August 2012. But then five months later, she re-upped with the network — a deal which lasted until this month.
