Fox News’ Gregg Jarrett: Jeff Sessions Is ‘Either an Unwitting Dupe or He’s Incompetent’

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett––who has decried the Mueller probe and has a book out now titled The Russia Hoax––trashed Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Hannity tonight.

Jarrett spoke with guest host Jeanine Pirro about President Donald Trump‘s growing frustrations with his own AG––frustrations he’s made public in what has turned into a public spat between the White House and the Justice Department.

“Jeff Sessions,” Jarrett said tonight, “is either an unwitting dupe or he’s incompetent. It’s got to be one of the two. One of the fundamental principles of democracy is equal justice under the law… But under Jeff Sessions and the previous Department of Justice, it is nothing more than a charade.”

Pirro wondered if perhaps Sessions was convinced that “it’s not in his interest to look at potential problems on the Democratic side.”

Jarrett said that would be incompetence and maybe even corrupt.

He added that Sessions should do the right thing and submit a letter of resignation, saying, “He apparently did it a year ago, but the President at the time felt it was unwise to accept it.”

Pirro jumped in to say, “That’s President Trump. I mean, he gives everyone a chance. You can even look at [Omarosa]. He gave her a chance and he believes in people, believes in raising people up.”
