Fox News Guest Defends GOP Against Anti-Semitism Allegations: ‘George Soros is a Very Terrible Man’
The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles defended the Republican Party against claims of anti-Semitism by calling Jewish billionaire George Soros a “very terrible man” during an appearance on Fox News today.
Knowles, who is a podcast host for Ben Shapiro‘s website, made the comment while responding to Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov‘s examples of anti-semitism on the right.
“I want to say that what Representative [Hakeem Jeffries] said is very important — that he doesn’t have the time to be lectured by Mitch McConnell,” Tarlov said on Outnumbered, referencing Jeffries’ response to the GOP condemnation of Rep. Ilhan Omar.
“You have the President of the United States and his son are tweeting out pictures of Hillary Clinton on a pile of cash, Jim Jordan tweeting about Tom Steyer with a money sign instead of an S there, the George Soros criticisms — all of those contained classic anti-semitic tropes that, yes, Representative Omar should have known better to say, “It’s all about the Benjamins,’ but Steve King still sits there.”
Fox News host Harris Faulkner then suggested House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hasn’t condemned Omar yet because “she sees the support she’s been getting within those chambers that were willing to call out Steve King so quickly.”
“To compare Representative Omar’s comments to other people’s comments is absurd,” Knowles said. “To say that any criticism of politicians taking money deals with the same sort of anti-Semitism as Representative Omar.”
Tarlov replied by asking Knowles about the anti-Semitic conspiracies used against Soros.
“George Soros is a very terrible man,” Knowles replied. “That’s not anti-Semitic to say that.”
