Fox News Host Hits ‘Sexist Feel’ to Criticism of Dem Sen. Amy Klobuchar

Fox News’ Outnumbered took on the debate surrounding Sen. Amy Klobuchar‘s (D-MN) treatment of her staff, following her announcement that she’s running for president in 2020.

Several reports dropped last week in which anonymous former staffers described a toxic work environment created by Klobuchar, a three-term senator.

“I always get a little queasy about these inside political hit jobs from anonymous sources on the eve of somebody announcing their intention to run for president,” said Outnumbered guest host Charlie Hurt. “Obviously, there is a difference between being a tough boss in some sort of monster.”

Hurt suggested the “sniping” at Klobuchar was the result of liberal Democrats opposed to the senator’s bid for president.

“It feels like a bit of a hit job even if it’s true in some way and she is a tough boss,” said Outnumbered host Melissa Francis. “Only because it flies in the face of the image she has put out there.”

“But it does also have a sexist feel to me, because it feels like somebody is driving down the road that she’s not likable,” Francis said. “And they know that’s worked on other woman.”
