Fox’s James Rosen Accuses Maddow of ‘Condescending’ to Military

During an appearance on MediaBuzz Sunday, Fox News’ James Rosen took some shots at MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow for a critical report she delivered last week about the drumbeat to war against ISIS.

Howard Kurtz’s media criticism show opening with a pair of clips. On one side was Fox’s Sean Hannity, who accused President Barack Obama of “blatantly handcuffing” military leaders who want troops on the ground in Iraq.

On the other was Rachel Maddow, who defended the commander-in-chief from those guys with “medals and stars and fancy hats.” Referencing the Maddow clip, Rosen said she “displayed an innate and unyielding hostility to the military” with her “condescending” comments about their uniforms.

“Chris Matthews, if only for his adulation of John F. Kennedy, might be considered a tad more hawkish than the likes of Rachel Maddow or Dennis Kucinich or Bill Maher,” Rosen continued. He suggested that some anti-war sentiment being expressed right now is really just “an expression of displeasure with the disjointed way in which this administration has defined and addressed this threat.”
