Fox News’ Napolitano Praises Barr: ‘If the White House Thought They Were Getting a Patsy, They’re Not’

Fox News senior legal analyst Andrew Napolitano praised AG nominee William Barr this afternoon on Fox Business Network.

He brought up the exchange Barr had with Cory Booker as an encouraging and pleasantly surprising one, saying, “There were no stumbles. If the White House thought they were getting a patsy, they’re not.”

He said the White House may have “relied upon” the memo Barr sent criticizing one aspect of the Mueller probe. But Napolitano noted it was explicitly “not a criticism of the existence of the office or the scope of the office.”

Napolitano said he expects Barr to “sail through,” maybe with some Democratic support as well.
