Fox News’ The Five Clashes Over Trump MS-13 ‘Animals’ Remark: ‘Is Hitler an Animal?’

The hosts of Fox News’ The Five got heated after Juan Williams criticized the “animal” language President Trump used in reference to MS-13 last week.

Gutfeld said Democrats, in reacting with outrage, are “standing up for a murderous drug gang.”

Williams countered, “You think that this is about standing up for MS-13. That just proves how off you are on this.”

He said the President is making an unfair connection, to which Gutfeld asked, “They’re all gang members?”

Williams said, “Let me finish!” Gutfeld shot back, “Go ahead, you’re digging your own hole.”

They argued over the “animals” language, with Williams saying it fits in with the broader remarks Trump has made about immigrants (i.e. “they’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists”).

Brian Kilmeade said Trump has misstepped a couple of times on his language but this isn’t one of those times.

Williams insisted to his co-hosts they can’t ignore the “demonizing” and “dehumanizing” of immigrants, and Gutfeld again jumped in to say he’s taking Trump out of context.

At one point when Williams said people shouldn’t be called animals, Gutfeld asked, “How about Hitler? Hitler’s not an animal?… Answer this question, Juan. Is Hitler an animal?”
