Last week, Fox News announced that it was going to air a special hosted by TMZ’s Harvey Levin titled OBECTified: Donald Trump in which Levin would interview Trump and Trump would show off the objects in his home and comment on them.
The interview was filmed prior to President-elect Trump winning the election over Hillary Clinton and aired Friday evening at 10 PM ET, with encore showings on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Well, the numbers are in, and the special scored Fox News a huge win. According to Nielsen, OBJECTified pulled in 4.03 million viewers, more than double the combined audiences of CNN and MSNBC. (CNN grabbed 762,000 viewers while MSNBC attracted 1.03 million.)
In the all-important 25-54 demographic, Fox News saw 965,000 viewers tune in, compared to 244,000 for CNN and 185,000 for MSNBC.
Compared to this time last year, Fox News saw an increase of 167% in overall viewers for the time slot and an amazing 236% increase in the 25-54 demo. It also was an uptick of 50% in comparison to this year’s fourth quarter to date.
It also appears that Fox News pulled a lot of viewers from CNN and MSNBC for the special, as both saw decreases from their 4th quarter numbers, with CNN down 38% and MSNBC 35% in the time slot.
